A Day In The Life Of Multiple Emotions At Once
1. #AuntieLife (Pride and Joy)
This week, my nephew Yari (aka the first son) graduates from high school. I take my #auntielife seriously and have given myself the designation of 3rd parent to all my nieces and nephews (your welcome sisters!).
Yari was the first test of my 3rd parent status. By all accounts, I did a great job. I mean, look at this kid. I’m patting myself on the back as we speak.
In all seriousness, Yari has taught me much more than I will ever teach him. He is unbelievably smart, kind, empathetic, and an amazing human. I am grateful I get to be his aunt and witness his transition into adulthood.
Life is good.
