Dear Worthy Woman,

Last year, I wrote a critique of Professor Galloway's "follow your talent, not your passion" advice. But when I heard him on Trevor Noah's podcast this week, I found myself nodding along.

(And that's okay because, guess what? Nuance still exists. I can disagree with someone without totally disregarding them or their views, right? Great. Onward.)

While I still stand by many of the points in my critique, that podcast episode brought up something crucial that deserves discussion: wealth still matters, especially for you and me.

Over the years, I've had countless conversations with women of color about their dreams and desires. Regardless of age, profession, or circumstance, generational wealth consistently ranked among their top priorities.
