Two years back, a grocery shopper snapped a photo of Geoffrey Owens bagging groceries at a Trader Joe's in Jersey.
Now, if you're not familiar with Geoffrey Owens, you might recognize him as Doctor Elvin Tibideaux, the son-in-law of Claire and Cliff Huxtable on The Cosby Show. With such a prominent role, many assumed Owens was living the high life. So, when an online photo showed him working at Trader Joe's, opinions flew.
The customer who took and shared the photo suggested Owens had reason to be ashamed. In an interview, she remarked, "I was a shock to see him working there and looking the way he did. It made me feel really bad. I was like, 'Wow, all those years of doing the show and you ended up as a cashier.'"
