Dear Worthy Woman,

Normally, I enter January raring to go.

I know what I want for the year. I have a plan. I’m ready to take action.

This year is different.

I have some general ideas of what I might want to accomplish. There are outlines in my mind of places I’d like to travel, connections I’d like to strengthen, and things I want to do. But nothing is concrete.

Just like when you cook a great dish, the flavors of my year need time to develop, meld, and transform into something extraordinary.

That's where I am right now.

Things are just beginning to bubble up to the surface. Rather than forcing these emerging dreams into a rigid 12-month plan, I'm giving them space to simmer.

What I know for sure, though, is that I want to feel deeply alive this year.
