Dear Worthy Woman,
I’ve attempted to write this New Year’s note more times than I can count, all while my husband and I celebrated my toddler’s birthday and Christmas, packed for a trip, comforted a sick toddler causing us to unpack for that trip, and generally tried to keep our house running without child care for a couple of weeks.
All of this means that the note I planned on getting out days ago is coming to you now, the day before the New Year.
It feels oddly metaphoric for how this year has gone - carefully laid plans meeting the chaos of real life. This year has been full of those moments where reality met my intention. They've taught me some valuable lessons that I’ve been weaving through through my notes to you this year.
So, as 2024 comes to a close, I wanted to share those lessons with you.
